When Don Munro and Barry Virgo started the practice on 1 July 1973, their intention was to provide a client base of rural and urban businesses with first class taxation and accounting services. The emphasis was to be on sound advice delivered personally by professionals who took the time to really understand the issues that clients from all walks of life faced.

It was important then, as it is now, that the advice was thoroughly sound, accessible and affordable. Relationships were personal and honest, and reliability was key.

Today, Munro's still adheres to those core values. Four directors, a principal and two managers are always personally available for their clients and with a complement of 30 staff, we deliver broad based accounting, taxation, business advisory and financial planning services to clients both old and new.

Although long-established, Munro's continues to work hard to capitalise on technological change, and a comprehensive approach to training ensures that all staff continually update the technical skills that have served the firm and its clients so well over the years.
